California State Only: Making Community Eligibility Work in California
Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), a federal option that allows high-poverty schools to offer breakfast and lunch at no cost to all students and eliminates the need to collect traditional school meal applications. California has seen amazing growth in the adoption of community eligibility in the last year because of recent changes in California state policy that has improved many school district’s eligibility. We know that there are many California schools haven’t been able to make the numbers work for CEP in past years, or got hung up on how to measure poverty for the purposes of LCFF funding; but this could be the year that your district joins the over 28,000 schools in California already experiencing the benefits of this amazing option. This webinar will explore community eligibility adoption best practices and strategies specific for California school districts.
